Ambre Lake is a Chicago-based actress and model, and all-around powerhouse of energy and charming Southern spark.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri and raised in Alabama, Ambre began entertaining people from the moment she could speak. Ambre told All Access’ Debra Stocker during a 2009 interview, “I think I sang and danced my way out of the crib. I used to put on personal concerts for my dolls and animals… actually anybody who would listen.” It was this limitless charisma and love of performance that drew Ambre towards the stage.

After acquiring a Bachelor of Science degree in Theatre, with a Minor in Music and Dance from Troy State University; then graduating with a Master in Fine Arts from Michigan University, Ambre hit the ground running.

Her credits include several theatre and dance performances, with key spots in various commercials and industrial ads. But it wasn’t long before her infectious and bubbly personality landed her a regular hosting spot.

Health and Lifestyles Weekly is a nationally syndicated show that Ambre Lake delivered to the masses alongside co-host Dave Grotto RD, LD, by traveling the country and featuring informative segments on interesting people and exotic places, with an emphasis on well-being and fun. It was that penchant for fun and adventure that eventually led Ambre to jump at the opportunity to enter a contest on "VH1’s Rock of Love 2", starring rock-n-roll superstar Bret Michaels, where she vied with other contestants for the chance to win the heart of its star and the show’s viewers.

In a People.com interview, Ambre confided, “The reason why I decided to do Rock of Love is because I was a huge fan of the first season. It showed Bret to be this amazing, cool, down-to-earth guy and I decided to try it and see what happens.”

Ambre finished as the second season winner and went on to evolve into an emcee favorite among world-famous clubs around the country.

Ambre said of her gratitude for Michaels in an All Access interview, “We keep in touch on a personal basis but I’m also fortunate enough to be allowed to help emcee his solo band shows and host his after parties. Bret is so good and supportive of me. I owe him so much.”

When the highly controversial Proposition 8 bill passed banning gay marriage in the State of California in 2008, Ambre used her celebrity to stage a demonstration outside of a Mormon church in Los Angeles off of Santa Monica Boulebvard. By duct-taping her mouth closed, writing “Legalize Gay” across her torso and duct-taped breasts, and even posing almost topless (her hair strategically covering most of her breast) for press, Ambre successfully got the attention of the media in order to send an important message of love and support to the gay community, and tolerance and unity to the world at large. In a statement to TMZ, Ambre explained, “That’s how you get people’s attention, and that’s exactly what my campaign strives to do.”

Ambre Lake’s eclectic style has made her a highly adaptable, high-profile personality. She is an accomplished actress with an impressive resumé that includes roles in such films as Project Slasher, Eden Court (starring Tom Lennon and Kimberly Williams-Paisley) and Sweet Home Alabama (starring Reese Witherspoon and Patrick Dempsey). Ambre’s latest completed project has her featured in the video for Sugarwall’s edgy remake of The Church classic “Under The Milky Way”.

According to Ambre, she wouldn’t have it any other way. "I feel deeply proud of my accomplishments in my career: my education, the immense diversity of roles and projects I've participated in, winning a television show contest in which I was projected as the underdog... I'm proud of the hard work I've devoted, the willingness to be open to change in order to adapt to an ever-evolving industry and the gifts God has given me throughout. I feel so humbled, blessed and lucky!"

As for the future, "I'm ready to move into the next stage of my life... whatever that may be. [laughs] I ultimately see myself hosting a TV show, which is my dream. I'm currently moving into producing and writing, so I'm learning all aspects of television production--in front of the camera, as well as behind the camera. If I do, indeed, move into producing my own television show, I want to know all aspects of its operation. Life is a constant learning curve and I'm excited to see what life has to offer me!"

"I've never thought of fans as "fans". I think I have been blessed with sooooo many new friends; people that legitmately care and love me for who I am. Even though Rock of Love has been over for quite a while, I still have friends from that period who support me in every single thing I do. I feel very fortunate and want to always remain true to myself and true to all of them. I never want to change but to evolve into something better, wiser and all the while remain humble." - Ambre Lake
